Help For Kid's Speech is a project sponsored by the Scottish
Rite Foundation of Florida. The purpose of the project is to help
parents and professionals provide better care for children with childhood
language and communication disorders.
The project consists of this web site, a professional email discussion
list, and a parent news list which will provide information about updates
on this site.
We will be developing a question and answer page that will post answers
to selected questions. There will also be a Frequently Asked Questions
section.
Find a clinic! There are 11 clinics in
Florida supported by the Foundation, or find a clinic in another state.
Clinics provide information about their services and contact information.
Content on Help For Kid's Speech has been reviewed and edited by our
project coordinator, a certified Speech and Language Pathologist, and
our Project Director, a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician. We are
interested in publishing useful handouts, treatment guides, and articles
that will help parents and therapists. We are also interested in personal
stories that highlight children, families, and people that help.
